The center is accelerating novel basic, translational and clinical applications in extended, virtual, augmented and mixed reality. XR can be used for patient care (pain management), medical training, first aid training and data visualization.

Born from the AppHatchery, the XR Innovation Center is a physical space in Emory's Health Sciences Research Building (HSRB-II) coupled with infrastructure to develop and test novel applications in virtual reality (VR):
