Nick Thompson grew up in Chicago, IL. For his undergraduate studies, Nick double majored in Biology and Music Performance at Emory University. After graduation, Nick worked as an Intern for the Grady Trauma Project, investigating the relationship between coping strategies, resilience and post-traumatic stress disorder. He also served as a program assistant for the Emory Tibetan Mind/Body Sciences Program, where he helped teach students about Tibetan Buddhism and facilitated exchanges with monks about the intersection between science and religion. He then received his MD and MPH at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He currently is a psychiatry resident at Emory University and has interests in outpatient psychiatry, psychotherapy and collaborative care.
