Nancy Gimbel is a Postdoctoral Resident in the Emory University School of Medicine Psychology Postdoctoral Residency Program in Health Service Psychology. Nancy earned her PhD in Counseling Psychology at the University of Georgia and completed her APA-accredited predoctoral internship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She received her EdD at Vanderbilt University, her MA in Education at the University of Florida and her BA at West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Her research interests focus on chronic pain, self-compassion, mindfulness and telebehavioral health. Clinically, she is particularly interested in working with patients who have experienced trauma and who experience comorbid physical and mental health concerns. Nancy is eager to explore new therapies for people living with chronic pain and expand behavioral health services to underserved and rural communities to reduce health inequities.
