Ryan Armitage, MS, is a general track intern in Emory University School of Medicine’s Internship in Health Service Psychology. He holds a BS in Psychology, an MS in Political Psychology from the University of Kent (UK) and an MEd in Education studies from the University at Buffalo. He is currently a doctoral candidate in Counseling Psychology (PhD) at the University at Buffalo. Armitage is a therapist and researcher whose work has centered in hospital and medical settings, with a focus on inpatient psychiatry and rehabilitation services. His practice is rooted in psychodynamic and logotherapeutic approaches, drawing on deep exploration of past experiences and meaning-making as a pathway to resilience and growth. He also has a keen interest in neuropsychological, cognitive and psychodiagnostic assessment, integrating these tools to better understand and support those he serves.
