Greetings, My name is Rue and I am a current dual degree graduate student at both Mercer University and Agnes Scott College. I am also an Early Childhood educator of three years with an academic focus on utilizing Social Emotional Learning methodology in marginalized communities and spaces. I currently have many godchildren that I assist and guide, and I love each and every one of them with all of my chest! Being a Black Caribbean American, this work is as deep and cathartic as the roots of my ancestors. It is my form of healing and my form of growth, and to me, the foundations of growth are centralized to feeling and being safe, and it is through that safety that we can begin to experience freedom. I believe this process of safety happens when we enable others to be their true self through expression. Ultimately, I love spending my time hearing the stories and experiences of my community and I look forward to helping others navigate their healing as it is my birthright!
