Brianna Pointer is a fourth-year doctoral student in the Counseling Psychology program at Auburn University. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Spelman College, Master of Arts in Education from Marquette University and Master of Arts in Psychology from Northcentral University.
Clinically, Pointer has experience providing therapy to diverse populations, including individuals navigating depression, anxiety, trauma and complex relational concerns. She is particularly passionate about supporting clients from marginalized communities and those whose lived experiences are shaped by intersecting cultural and systemic factors.
As a wellness advocate, Pointer considers psychological well-being from a holistic perspective, attending to the interplay of biological, psychological, social and cultural factors that shape health. Through both clinical practice and research, she is committed to advancing culturally responsive care that affirms resilience while creating space for healing and growth. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling to new places and psychoanalyzing crime television shows.
