Biography
Rachel Waford, PhD, has extensive experience serving individuals living with chronic mental conditions including schizophrenia-spectrum disorders and bipolar disorders. She also specializes in serving individuals and families experiencing their first episode of psychosis or first bipolar episode. A proponent of the recovery model, Dr. Waford strives for healing, hope and empowerment for all individuals she serves. She is a co-author of the 2015 The psychosis responses guide: How to help young people in psychiatric crises. She also has a TEDxDecatur talk about first episode psychosis.
