
Alia Rowe, PhD, is the Co-Chair of the Nia Project Community Advisory Board. She is a past member of the Nia Executive Committee when she was a postdoctoral resident at Emory School of Medicine at Grady Health System. Rowe is a clinical psychologist at the Atlanta VA. She is particularly interested in health psychology, with a focus on examining the impact of stress (PTSD, racial discrimination) on health and coping strategies. She is originally from Maryland, completed her doctorate at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (UPUI) and postdoctoral training at Emory School of Medicine. Rowe enjoys baking and improving her proficiency in Spanish and hopes to learn American Sign Language to integrate into treatment with nonverbal veterans.
