Shanell Moss holds a bachelor of science in Marine Science and Mathematics. After her time at Georgia Aquarium, she went back to her love of election work at Dekalb County Voter Registration and Elections as a poll manager and assistant trainer. In 2024, she became a certified peer specialist, as she is passionate about helping others achieve and advocacy around mental health and voting rights. Moss is also a caregiver to her differently-abled (disabled) mother. She has achieved these things all while having a mental health diagnosis and receiving support through the Nia Project.
