Ehizele was born in Ontario, Canada, and spent his early years there and in New York before ultimately settling in Fayetteville, GA at age 8. At Duke he looked for something other than biology to major in, and found himself in an Intro to Neurosciences course that cemented his pathway to becoming a neurologist. He earned his master's degree in Pre-Clinical Science from Mercer University, and worked for a medical technology company providing patient education tablets to hospitals across the country in the year before matriculating to medical school at the Medical College of Georgia. He is passionate about mentoring future physicians and increasing the representation of minorities in medicine, specifically in neurology. Neurointerventional radiology is particularly appealing to him, and he is also interested in the prospect of creating an interdisciplinary outpatient center where his patients can get all their follow-up care, treatment, therapy, and imaging in the same place. Emory was the best choice to explore his passions and subspecialty interests, while also staying near home and family.
