Caroline grew up in in Chapel Hill, NC. She moved to Atlanta to attend college at Emory University and never left. While in college, she developed a passion for neuroscience, German studies, and teaching. After college, she taught high school science at B.E. Mays High School in Southwest Atlanta before returning to Emory for medical school. While in medical school she continued to work with Atlanta-area high school students through teaching and mentorship programs at the School of Medicine. Emory Neurology was a natural choice for Caroline for residency so she could continue to work with the Atlanta community, while exploring the vast research and clinical opportunities that the Emory training program has to offer. In her free time, Caroline enjoys brushing up on her German language skills, running, weight lifting, and spending time outside to enjoy Atlanta’s perennial summer.
