Alana was born and raised in Westchester, New York. She attended The George Washington University, where she majored in Psychology and developed a love of neuroscience. After graduating, Alana spent her gap year at Children’s National Medical Center in the SCORE Concussion Clinic. She then attended Howard University College of Medicine, where she became passionate about lowering health care disparities and mentorship. Alana chose Emory Neurology because of the culture of diversity, emphasis on resident wellness and the incredible faculty and residents. She is interested in pursuing a fellowship in Vascular Neurology. Outside of the hospital, you can find Alana cuddling on the couch with her pampered cat Ollie or exploring the food scene in Atlanta.
