Kristy was born and raised in California and attended college at UCLA. After finishing her undergraduate studies, she worked as a research associate at the UCLA Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC) where she coordinated clinical research studies and conducted neuroimaging research. Her time at the UCLA ADRC was where she developed an interest in neurology and research. She then attended medical school at Oakland University in Michigan where she lived in snow for the first time. She chose Emory for her neurology training because of its exceptional and friendly faculty, different training sites, diverse pathology, research opportunities and the amazing residents she met on interview day. Kristy has a special interest in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, working out, cooking and traveling.
