Committed to honoring our history of service and dedication of the greater Atlanta community, the Emergency Department at Emory Midtown Hospital has been recognized at the local, state, and national levels for excellence in clinical care.
Prepared for any medical emergency that may walk through our doors, we are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Annually, 72,000 patients per year seek care in our ED from our team of board-certified (or board-eligible) Emergency Physicians, Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners. As a teaching hospital, we are also joined by Emory University school of medicine students and Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine Residents.
We pride ourselves on our timely, excellent care and have been recognized as Atlanta’s preferred Emergency Department “When Every Minute Counts.”
The Emergency Department also includes a 16-bed Clinical Decision Unit to care for those patients requiring additional time to determine the need for inpatient admission.
From the moment patients and their loved ones enter our emergency department, our team of medical professionals and Patient Liaisons remain focused on healing through expert care and attention to the patient experience.
