We are interested in postdoctoral scholars and graduate students to study the molecular and cellular basis for activation of adaptive immune response by carbohydrate antigens. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to learn and apply immunological and biochemical tools to study key mechanisms by which carbohydrate antigens induce adaptive and innate immune response. Based on the mechanisms discovered, we will design and develop knowledge-based, new-generation vaccines and therapeutics and test their efficacy through in vitro and in vivo disease models.
For postdoctoral researchers experience in working with mice and broad understanding of Immunology and/or Microbiology research are preferred. Competitive salary and benefits are available and will commensurate with experience. Current graduate students should contact Dr. Avci.
