- Dr. Charles Moore gave a keynote at the University of Michigan for Juneteenth 2026. In July, he also presented on Climate Change and Health for the National Medical Association in Puerto Rico.
- Strategies for Just Communities, a collaborative created by Dr. Charles Moore, Dr. Ted Corbin, and Dr. John Rich, launched the OUR WORDS HEAL Atlanta campaign in June 2026.
- Dr. Brittany Prince graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Doctorate in Public Health in May 2025. She also received an award from Clayton State University as a distinguished alumni in recognition of her community work.
- Joan Wilson recently co-authored “Sprouting readers (SR) and its impact on nutritional knowledge for children living in food deserts” in the International Public Health Journal (2026;18(1):00-00.
- Tammy Reasoner recently co-authored “Food Security Outcomes and Post-Intervention Experiences in a Produce Prescription Pilot: A Mixed-Methods Study” in Journal of Nutrition Education and Behavior.
- UHI welcomes Greg Loughlin, MSSW, as our newest team member! Greg is a social worker, advocate, and university instructor with 25 years’ experience in violence prevention and intervention.
- Dr. Amy Webb and Tammy Reasoner Collaborate on Produce Prescription Program Research in Georgia; Lead Researcher Caroline Owens Publishes Findings.
