There are so many ways to get involved with UHI’s exciting work! Whether you are a researcher, community leader, member of a private or public organization, student, work full-time, or are at any other life stage, the Urban Health Initiative wants to hear from you!
- All students, staff, faculty, and community members interested in staying up to date on UHI’s activities should join our mailing list.
- If you would like to apply for an available position, join a project and/or are an Atlanta community member with an idea for a project that fits with UHI’s direction and work, please fill out this interest form.
- Once you have submitted an interest form, you should receive an email within a week from our Volunteer Coordinator.
UHI is unique in that we rely on YOU (our volunteers) to make the impact on health disparities. This isn't just theory; this is application! Working with real communities and people is very rewarding, but comes with a lot of responsibility. As such, getting involved can be a relatively long process compared to other volunteer/intern opportunities, but this is necessary in order to ensure our volunteer team is qualified to represent UHI and Emory. We are seeking people (anyone, not just students) who are leaders, learners, and go-getters with entrepreneurial spirits.
