Biography
Hannah Mason grew up in Peachtree City, GA and attended the University of Georgia before starting the MD/PhD track. As an NIH Oxford-Cambridge Scholar, she completed her PhD externally working in the laboratories of Dr. Dorian McGavern at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke and Professor Ole Paulsen at the University of Cambridge. She studied how the brain’s immune system responds to and is shaped by repetitive head injury and degenerative processes. After completing her MD/PhD degree, Hannah intends to pursue a career in pharma. Outside of the laboratory, Hannah enjoys rowing, cooking, and hiking with her husband.
