Teresa Sims-Lawson is currently working as a Team Lead for the Youth & Family Tree program. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Georgia. She has a master's degree in clinical social work from the University of Central Florida and a bachelor's degree in social work from Clark Atlanta University. Teresa has experience working with adolescents and adults with dual diagnosis, complex trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, psychosis and more, in outpatient and inpatient settings. She specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing. She also incorporates solution focused therapy, person centered therapy and holistic practices. Teresa's objective is to reduce mental health challenges in your daily life by promoting self-care, self-awareness and self-determination.
