Emily Griner, MPH, is a Research Project Manager in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine. She supports the execution, management and analysis of clinical and socio-behavioral research conducted within the Clinical and Research Program for Psychosis at Grady Health System. She completed her Master of Public Health degree at the Emory Rollins School of Public Health with a concentration in Behavioral, Social and Health Education Sciences. In her role, she provides training and guidance to research staff and mentors undergraduate, public health and medical students on independent and collaborative research projects.
Her research interests focus on improving outcomes for individuals and families affected by psychosis-spectrum disorders using mixed method approaches. Her work examines family engagement and family recovery in psychosis treatment, with an emphasis on incorporating family perspectives into research and clinical practice. She is also interested in the integration of digital technologies within mental health services to improve diagnostic assessment, expand access to care and enhance the delivery of patient- and family-centered interventions.
