The Health Services Research Center offers an internship program for graduate students in Emory's Rollins School of Public Health (e.g., health policy, epidemiology, biostatistics, behavioral sciences, environmental health, etc.) to work with health services research faculty throughout the year. This creates a mutually beneficial relationship for practical research opportunities for graduate students to participate in real-world, practical health services research while providing support for faculty from a leading public health school. The internship program also provides a valuable forum for training the next generation of researchers and ensuring diversity in the field of academic medicine. Trainees rotating through the program are valuable scientific collaborators and go on to doctoral programs, medical school, or other influential positions throughout medicine and public health.
