Associate Professor, Geriatric Medicine & Gerontology
Research Interests: Study of lower urinary tract symptoms among older adults, particularly in the setting of neurodegenerative disease such as Parkinson disease. She has evaluated both epidemiologic and clinical trial data to understand functional and quality of life effects of lower urinary tract symptoms as well as multicomponent treatment strategies. Her VA-funded research focuses on optimizing clinical care, including the incorporation of pelvic floor muscle exercise-based behavioral therapy, to treat urinary symptoms in veterans with Parkinson disease.
Research Interests: Treatment for HPV-related disease, HPV and cervical cancer educational programs, and ovarian cancer surveillance for women with breast cancer susceptibility genes.
