2025 KUHR-TN National Conference Meeting
Date: May 20-21, 2025
Location: Claudia Nance Rollins Building, Emory University (1518 Clifton Rd. NE, Atlanta, GA 30322)
Directions to building: Registration and breakfast will be in the plaza of the Claudia Nance Rollins Building from 7:30-8:30 AM EST. If you are coming from the parking deck and walking up to the complex, it is the first building on the left with outdoor seating. We will have signs to help guide you to the building.

For those planning travel, the conference will be roughly within the following times:
- Monday May 19, 2025 from 6:30-8:00 PM EST - Pre-conference Social. For those arriving on Monday evening before the conference, we invite you to participate in our Pre-conference Networking Event. ATLANTIS will be providing food, bowling, and the opportunity to connect with other KUHR-TN members before the conference officially starts in the morning. We recommend those flying into Atlanta choose a flight that lands by 5:00 PM if you plan to attend the pre-conference bowling at 6:30 PM.
- Tuesday May 20, 2025 from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM EST - Conference Day 1. Registration opens at 7:30 AM, with opening remarks starting at 8:45 AM. Day 1 of the conference will end by 5:30 PM.
- Wednesday May 21, 2025 from 8:00 AM-2:00 PM EST - Conference Day 2. We will end with a to-go lunch for those who must leave by 2:00 PM, but you may choose to join us for lunch and stay a little longer to continue networking should you wish to plan for a later departure. We recommend leaving Emory 2 hours before your scheduled flight.

Click here to register for the conference. Registration is open until Friday May 2, 2025. All trainees should check with their TL1 PI before registering.
Trainee Presentations
Poster presentations: Trainees should bring a printed copy of their poster to the conference. Posters should be no larger than 54 inches (length) x 36 inches (height).
Rapid Fire presentations: Trainees selected for Rapid Fires should prepare a 3-minute oral presentation to provide brief overview of your project and poster. Please send slides to Mikayla Zachos (kflowe4@emory.edu) no later than Wednesday May 14, 2025. For your presentation, please include 3 slides (max) with the following information:
- One slide with your name, title, affiliation, project title and study hypothesis
- One slide with a key research finding
- One slide with a conclusion and teaser for why people should visit your poster
Oral presentations: Trainees nominated by their Centers who have been contacted by ATLANTIS to give an oral presentation in place of a poster presentation should prepare a 7-9 minute oral presentation with slides using this PowerPoint template. There is no slide limit for the oral presentations, and there will be a Q&A session from the audience following each group of oral presentations. Please send slides to Mikayla Zachos (kflowe4@emory.edu) no later than Wednesday May 14, 2025.
Lodging
Hotel block at the Emory Conference Center and Hotel: The hotel block at ECCH has closed. Please contact the hotel directly if you're in need of a reservation.
The hotel closest to the conference is the Emory Conference Center and Hotel (0.4 miles, 9 minute walk from conference). The hotel block has now closed, and all new reservations are subject to the Emory Conference Center and Hotel's availability. Please contact the hotel directly if you're still interested in making a reservation. For guests staying at the hotel, check out is at 12:00 PM EST, so please check out of your room before coming to the conference that morning. The hotel will hold your luggage for you during the conference.
Stay on campus at Emory University: Reservations at Clifton Towers have closed.
