
RECOVER VITAL (viral persistence and reactivation, and immune dysregulation) seeks to study and determine the ability of therapeutics (medication) to improve symptoms for people experiencing Long COVID. RECOVER VITAL is a clinical trial a part of NIH's RECOVER initiative to understand, treat, and prevent Long COVID.

Ritonavir is one of two active agents in PAXLOVID.
What is a placebo?
A placebo medication is one with no active ingredients and should have no effect.
