Dr. Roberts is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Department of Neurology at Emory University. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Montana State University and his PhD in Biochemistry and Biophysics from Oregon State University. 

Anne Roberts

Anne completed her B.S. at Oregon State University. She has expertise in Bioanalytical chemistry with particular emphasis on proteomics (large format 2D gels, LC-MS), and metal analysis (ICP-MS). She has expertise in handling large number of (>1,000) samples for bioanalytical measurement. She has excellent organizational skills. She is also passionate about training the next generation of scientist including undergraduate, graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and anyone willing to learn.  She is working to understand the root cause of Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and ALS.   

Ankit Prakashchandra Jain, PhD

Dr. Jain completed his B.Sc. in Biotechnology at the University of Mumbai, India. He then continued his training to obtain a M.Sc. in neurobiology from U. of Mumbai before completing his Ph.D. in Cancer biology at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, Bhubaneswar. He is a highly skilled bioanalytical chemist with a deep understanding in the use of mass spectrometry. He has expertise in the operation and troubleshooting for Orbitrap, Agilent QTOF, Bruker TIMS, ABSCIEX QTRAPs and Trajan Leap hydrogen deuterium exchange systems. He is working to understand the role of amyloid beta in Alzheimer’s disease.

Madison Ellen Platt

Madison obtained her B.S. in microbiology at Texas A&M University. She has experience in immunohistochemistry and MALDI imaging. She also runs and maintains our Quanterix HDX system and has expertise in developing homemade assays on the Quanterix and MesoScale Discovery systems.  She is working to characterize blood and brain based biomarkers of neurodegenerative

Shaima Nazaar, PhD
Postdoctoral Fellow

Contact Dr. Nazaar

Dr. Nazaar earned her B.Sc. in Chemistry at the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. She then completed her Ph.D. at Michigan State U. where she studied the folding, stability and degradation of membrane proteins. She has expertise in the development and application of lipidomic and proteomics assays in human plasma and red blood cells with the goal of developing a biomarker for Parkinson’s disease. She has expertise in using the TIMS TOF LC-MS system (Bruker) and data analysis  including MSDIAL, Skyline and Metaboscape.
