Admissions

Applicants who have served their communities or their countries through volunteer activities, military service, employment opportunities or service-oriented programs greatly enhance the cultural perspective of the class. The PA Program is committed to attracting students from geographically underserved regions such as Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) in Georgia, as well as students from different racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

The Emory PA Program values diversity in other forms, such as age, gender identity, disability and years of experience in the health care field.

The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) has granted Accreditation-Continued Status to the Emory University Physician Assistant Program sponsored by Emory University.  Accreditation-Continued Status is granted when a currently accredited program is in compliance with the ARC-PA Standards.

Accreditation remains in effect until the program closes or withdraws from the accreditation process or until accreditation is withdrawn for failure to comply with the ARC-PA Standards. The approximate date for the next validation review of the program by the ARC-PA will be March 2033. The review date is contingent upon continued compliance with the Accreditation Standards and ARC-PA Policy.
