Biography
Emily is an MD-PhD student from Bolton, MA who attended college at the University of Rochester, where she graduated with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Biophysics and a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Ethics. At the University of Rochester, she conducted research in Dr. Paul Dunman’s laboratory where she studied antibiotic resistance and development against Staphylococcus aureus.
Emily is in the BCDB program at Emory and is interested in better elucidating the biochemical mechanisms underlying blood-brain barrier function and neuroinflammation in psychiatric illnesses. Her current clinical interests are psychiatric and clinical pathology.
When not in the clinic or lab, she can be found walking the beltline and exploring new restaurants around ATL.
