Charmaine Mora-Ozuna, PhD, is a postdoctoral resident in Health Service Psychology with Emory University School of Medicine. She serves on the Consultation-Liaison Service at Grady Hospital and works with the Nia Project. She completed her BA in Psychology at Georgia State University and her MS/EdS in Mental Health Counseling at Florida State University. Charmaine earned her PhD at the University of Georgia and completed her predoctoral internship at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center within the El Paso Psychology Internship Program. Her research and clinical interests focus on trauma and resilience, especially in the realm of gender-based violence. Charmaine is determined to decolonize psychology by fostering mental health literacy and increasing access to culturally and linguistically relevant services to marginalized communities. Charmaine cultivates inner joy by spending time with loved ones, traveling, dancing and eating!
