Linying Li is currently a fourth-year student in the Psychology PhD program at Emory University. She graduated from Reed College in 2019, where she majored in psychology and researched on crosslinguistic interactions in bilinguals. She then worked at the Oregon Health & Science University’s Center for Spoken Language Understanding, focusing on classifying paraphasic errors for the purpose of improving the assessment and treatment of aphasia. Her current research explores the application of AI and language technology in various clinical contexts, with the aim of better understanding the heterogeneity in various mental health conditions and facilitating personalized medicine.
