Brianna Brooks, LPC (she/her), is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia with over five years experience in the mental health field. She has worked across diverse clinical settings, including emergency rooms for suicide attempts and ideation, inpatient mental health hospitals and educational environments.
Brianna provides compassionate, trauma-informed care to children, adolescents and adults. She specializes in depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, family dynamics and life transitions. She has extensive experience supporting families impacted by domestic violence, sexual abuse and separation due to foster care placement. She holds specialized training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Suicide Crisis Intervention, equipping her to work effectively with high-risk populations and individuals in acute distress.
Brianna earned her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Brenau University, with a specialization in Neuropsychology and Psychological Assessment. She is currently a third-year doctoral student in Brenau’s Doctor of Clinical Psychology program. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Florida Atlantic University. In addition to her clinical work, Brianna is passionate about mental health equity and culturally responsive care. Her research focuses on the increased rates of ADHD diagnoses among African American children in rural areas, with a particular interest in how current diagnostic criteria often fail to account for trauma-related symptoms in these communities. She aims to help improve diagnostic practices to better reflect the lived experiences of marginalized populations.
Brianna believes that while life’s challenges are unavoidable, healing and growth are always possible. She is dedicated to walking alongside her clients as they break through emotional and psychological barriers to live more empowered, fulfilling lives.
