Biography
Hannah Simon, PhD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in Emory University’s school of Medicine. She completed her postdoctoral training with the Nia Project and the Psychiatry Consult Liaison service at Grady Health System. Dr. Simon has extensive individual and group therapy experience across a variety of settings and her areas of clinical interest include dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), trauma, interpersonal issues, mood and anxiety disorders, emotion dysregulation and life transitions. Her research interests include the development of culturally responsive interventions, including the role of spirituality and religious coping, as well as the effects of childhood experiences (ACEs, maternal depression) on later functioning. She is passionate about providing supervision and training to residents and psychology practicum students.
