Biography
Lucy Allbaugh, PhD, is an assistant professor in the Psychology Department at the University of Dayton in Ohio and an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University. Dr. Allbaugh completed her graduate training in Clinical Psychology at Miami University (2017) and her predoctoral internship (2017) and postdoctoral residency (2018) in Health Service Psychology with the Emory University School of Medicine/Grady Health System. Dr. Allbaugh's research focuses on outcomes associated with early life adversity within the family, with a particular emphasis on resilient outcome and relational wellbeing. Current work focuses on the phenomenology of resilience; relational functioning, including parenting as a survivor of maltreatment; psychosocial and biological predictors of risk versus resilience in families exposed to multiple forms of trauma. Additionally, she is interested in work that addresses barriers to treatment and feasibility and acceptability of implementing interventions in community settings.
