June 25, 2020: Dr. Sabra Klein, Professor of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, shared findings from her latest research and broadly discussed "Sex/Gender Differences in COVID-19" during the most recent webinar. Dr. Klein is currently President of the Organization for the Study of Sex Differences, which is the only scientific society dedicated to uncovering how males and females differ in health and disease. She is also the PI of the Johns Hopkins Specialized Center for Research Excellence (SCORE) in sex and age differences in immunity to influenza. The webinar was moderated by Emory SCORE pilot awardee Dr. Monika Stojek. Dr. Stojek is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University and a practicing clinical psychologist at the Emory Healthcare Veterans Program.

March 19, 2020: Dr. Virginia Miller, Mayo Clinic & BIRCWH PI and Dr. Judy Regensteiner, University of Colorado & BIRCWH PI shared their knowledge and perspective on "Executive Presence." Dr. Miller is a Professor of Surgery and Physiology and Director of the Women’s Health Research Center at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. Dr. Regensteiner is the Director of the Center for Women’s Health Research (CWHR) and Professor of Medicine in the Divisions of Internal Medicine and Cardiology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Dr. Natalie Nokoff, a University of Colorado BIRCWH scholar, served as the moderator. Dr. Nokoff is an Assistant Professor and researcher that specializes in clinical care for children who identify as transgender or gender fluid and those born with a disorder or difference in sex development.

December 19, 2019: "Promoting Inclusion, Diversity, Access and Equity in Academic Career" was the last webinar session of 2019. Our speakers included: Dr. Victoria Fraser, the Adolphus Busch Professor of Medicine, chair of the Department of Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine, and physician-in-chief for Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Dr. William Powderly, the Dr. J. William Campbell Professor of Medicine and the Larry J Shapiro Director of the Institute for Public Health at Washington University in St. Louis, and Dr. Cynthia Sears, Professor of Medicine and Oncology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine as well as a professor of molecular microbiology and immunology at the Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. Fraser is a member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) Board of Directors and Drs. Powderly and Sears are both former presidents of the IDSA. Dr. Samaah Sullivan, an Instructor in the Department of Epidemiology at the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University and current BIRCWH scholar, served as the moderator.

September 26, 2019: Dr. Preeti Malani, Chief Health Officer and Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Michigan, presented on "Scientific Communication." Dr. Malani is the Director of the National Poll on Healthy Aging based at the Institute for Health Policy and Innovation. Since 2012 she has served as an Associate Editor of the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA). Dr. Rachel Greenup, an Associate Professor of Surgery at Duke University in the Division of Surgical Oncology, Breast Surgery and a health services researcher, served as the moderator.
