What is the goal of this SCDP ECHO program?
To create a forum for medical and public health professionals responding to special pathogens and other infectious diseases. Attendees learn from infectious disease experts, ask questions, and share evolving best practices around infectious disease management.
What is Project ECHO?
Project Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes (ECHO) was started at the University of New Mexico in 2003, when Sanjeev Arora, M.D., a liver disease specialist, sought to bring improved care for patients with Hepatitis C across the state. Project ECHO is not typical "telemedicine", as it focuses on tele-mentoring, utilizing guided practice to train providers to care for their patients via the "All Teach, All Learn" model. Since 2003, numerous studies have proven the efficacy of the ECHO model. This outcome has led to the expansion of Project ECHO across sectors, with over 900 different programs addressing a range of health and educational issues.
What topics will be discussed in the SCDP ECHO Program?
Topics will focus on special pathogens, other infectious diseases, and vary by session - depending on current events.

Where can I find resources after the sessions?
