The division has unique strengths in the areas of pituitary diseases, metabolic bone disease and osteoporosis, nutrition and lipid metabolism, thyroid diseases, and diabetes. We offer several electives including nuclear medicine, reproductive endocrinology, pediatric endocrinology. Each fellow receives funds to travel to a national endocrine meeting yearly.
Fellows receive continuous feedback throughout the year with semi-annual meetings with the program director, an annual in-service written examination, thyroid biopsy simulation, and 360 examinations. Emory's endocrinology fellowship is the only program in the country to perform an Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) for our fellows.
Our fellowship program has adopted the APDEM Recommendations for 2020-21 Recruitment. We are committed to 100% virtual interviews/visits for all applicants in the recruitment season for 2020.
