Cary K Sheahan, BSW is the senior program coordinator for the Section of Prehospital and Disaster Medicine and the Program Coordinator for Emory’s EMS fellowship. She is also the Senior Program Coordinator for Emory's Office of Critical Event Preparedness and Response (CEPAR), which serves as the center for Emory enterprise-wide planning for and coordinated response to catastrophic events. In the CEPAR office, she assists in coordinating the office initiatives and programs including maintenance of the Emory Emergency Notification Program and the Emergency Operations Center.
Ms. Sheahan received her Bachelors of Social Work degree at the University of Georgia in 1996. Ms. Sheahan began her work with Emory University in 1998 in Woodruff Health Sciences Administration where she was the Executive Administrative Assistant to the VP and CFO for almost 2 decades. Ms. Sheahan brings longtime institutional experience working in the university setting with a wide variety of roles and responsibilities.
