Research

Focus

  • Our research aims at elucidating various aspects of the synaptology, localization and function of various neurotransmitter receptor systems in the basal ganglia. We use these basic data collected through a large variety of anatomical and physiological techniques to test and develop novel pharmacotherapeutic approaches in Parkinsons disease. Our findings help understand the pathophysiology and improve therapeutic strategies for Parkinsons disease.
