Focus
- The tumor genome is a dynamic, unstable entity. Among the numerous genetic alterations occur in tumors, only a few events lead to the activation of oncogenes or the inactivation of tumor suppressor genes, both of which are essential for tumor development. One of the greatest challenges in the field of cancer genetics is the identification of those specific mutations that spur tumorigenesis. We are interested in identifying such mutations to study the molecular basis of human cancer.
