Woodrow Farrington
Overview
Before joining Emory in 2020, Dr. Woodrow Farrington, II completed his undergraduate studies at Auburn University and the University of Alabama Birmingham, obtaining degrees in accounting and biology. He earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine, where he stayed to complete his general surgery residency. He completed his cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical College and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and remained to complete an advanced cardiovascular/aortic aneurysm surgery fellowship.
Dr. Farrington's primary clinical focus is adult cardiac surgery with a particular interest in complex aortic disease and aortic aneurysms. His articles have been published in a number of leading journals, including the Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Journal of Cardiac Surgery, and Journal of Visualized Surgery.
