Overview

Dr. Viral Patel is an assistant professor in the Emergency and Trauma Imaging and Neuroradiology divisions. His clinical focus is emergency neuroradiology.

Prior to joining Emory Radiology, Dr. Viral served as an emergency neuroradiologist for Diversified Radiology in Denver, CO.

Dr. Patel earned a BSE degree in chemical engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He then earned his DO from Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine. After a preliminary medicine internship at Presence St. Joseph Hospital in the Department of Internal Medicine, he completed diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Arizona Medical Center, followed by a diagnostic neuroradiology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine.
