Tammie Quest MD
Overview
Dr. Tammie E. Quest is the Montgomery Chair in Palliative Medicine and Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine. She is the Immediate Past President of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine and Director of the Emory Palliative Care Center for Emorys Woodruff Health Sciences Center (WHSC). She is the Chair of Georgias Palliative Care and Quality of Life Council. Her active education and research interests include palliative care quality and assessment and cancer symptom assessment and management in the emergency setting. She is the recipient of multiple NIH grants and foundation funding to support innovations in palliative care in the areas of quality improvement, emergency medicine, HIV palliative care, spiritual based decision making and end of life care in the assisted living setting. She is board certified in Emergency Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine.

Focus
- All aspects of palliative care involving symptom assessment and control, patient centered communication and ethics in the emergency setting with a concentration on cancer. Particularly interested in curriculum design and educational models to improve palliative care in the emergency setting.
