Overview
Taylor Hayes is an Assistant Professor and Clinical Education faculty of the Emory University Physician Assistant Program within the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine.
She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia with a Bachelors in Athletic Training. Thereafter, she worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer and faculty for the Sports Physical Therapy and Athletic Training Residency programs at Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital. In 2020, she earned her dual degree masters from the Emory University Physician Assistant Program (graduating Highest Honors) and the Rollins School of Public Health where she was heavily involved in leadership, teaching, and interprofessional collaborations.
As faculty, Taylor serves as the co-lead of a mentorship program connecting PA learners to PA mentors and the course director of the Academic Medicine Clerkship for learners interested in pursuing careers in academia. She holds clinical appointments in Transplant Infectious Diseases and Hospital Medicine within Emory Healthcare. Her scholarly and research activities include lifestyle medicine, well-being, and mentorship. Taylor is passionate about enhancing adult learner experiences in didactic and clinical settings, fostering clinician longevity in mentorship and preceptorship, and advocating for APPs joint pursuit of clinical and non-clinical roles.
