Overview
Dr. Sonali Sakaria is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. She completed her internship/residency at J. Willis Hurst Internal Medicine Residency Program at Emory University School of Medicine and her gastroenterology fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine, Division of Digestive Diseases.
Dr. Sakaria treats general gastrointestinal disorders with a special interest in endoscopy, celiac disease, digestive malignancies and digestive hemorrhaging. Dr. Sakaria is very passionate about the training and education of residents and fellows. She is a former Associate Program Director for the Emory GI fellowship program.
Prior to joining Emory University she received "Attending Teaching Award" at the Thomas Jefferson University Affiliate Hospital. More recently in 2017 she was awarded "Attending of the Year" by the Emory Division of Digestive Diseases for her efforts in education.
