Sonjoy Laskar MD
Overview
Dr. Laskar is an associate professor of medicine in the Division of Cardiology at Emory University. He received his MD degree from Emory University in 1996. He received his internal medicine and cardiology training at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. He received additional training in advanced heart failure and heart transplantation at the University of Texas Southwestern. He joined the faculty in 2004.
Dr. Laskar is the medical director of the Emory Healthcare VAD Program. Dr. Laskar has demonstrated a true devotion to providing direct care to patients with heart failure, heart transplantation or ventricular assist devices, and teaching residents and fellows. Dr. Laskar also travels throughout Georgia and South Carolina providing education to physicians about treatment options available for patients with heart failure. Dr. Laskar is an active researcher in the areas of echocardiography and ventricular assist devices as destination therapy. Dr. Laskar is also board certified in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology.
