Styliani Flampouri
Overview
Stella Flampouri, PhD, MSs, DABR, joined the department faculty and the medical physicist team at Emory Proton Therapy Center in 2019. Dr. Flampouri is a board certified medical physicist specializing in proton radiation therapy.
Dr. Flampouri received her PhD in Medical Physics from Institute of Cancer Research & Royal Marsden Hospital in United Kingdom. She obtained her Master of Science in Engineering and Physical Sciences in Medicine from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine in London, United Kingdom. She completed her post-doctoral fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Flampouri's research interests include the evaluation of proton radiation dose uncertainties and investigation of techniques to mitigate the effects; and the methodology for lung and lymphoma proton treatment planning and delivery.
