Simon Lee
Overview
Dr. Simon Lee is the medical director for the Ambulatory Surgery Center and serves as the chief of anesthesiology for the ASC division while still fulfilling clinical duties at Emory University Hospitla Midtown. He serves on the Medical Executive Committee for the ASC in addition to his role of chairing the annual departmental conference.
His primary research interests center around post-anesthesia delirium, emergence and sleep. He is actively involved in collaboration with the neuroanesthesiology research lab under the direction of Dr. Paul Garcia and is part of the ACCESS Group. He has been the receipient of numerous research grants to study post-anesthetic cognition and respiratory depression in patients receiving opioids.
Dr. Lee is actively involved in the simulation lab, difficult airway course, and resident/AA education.
