Sivan Ben-Moshe
Overview
Sivan Mazal Ben-Moshe, MD is an assistant professor of medicine in the Emory University Department of Medicine, Division of General Medicine and Geriatrics. She practices in the Geriatrics outpatient clinic and is an attending physician with the Palliative Medicine in-patient consultation service.
Dr. Ben-Moshe received a BS from Emory University in 2006 and an MD from School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University in 2010. She completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Maimonides Medical Center in New York in 2013. Subsequently, Dr. Ben-Moshe completed an integrated fellowship in geriatric and palliative medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai in New York.
Dr. Ben-Moshes areas of clinical interest are treating patients with multi-morbidity and practicing primary palliative medicine in the geriatrics population, particularly advance care planning and shared decision making.
Dr. Ben-Moshe is a clinical educator. She teaches communication skills to all levels of trainees as a Vital Talk facilitator and Serious Illness Conversation Guide facilitator. She has also developed curriculum and enjoys teaching trainees geriatrics and palliative medicine concepts. She is the course director for the "Aging" course for the first year medical students.
Dr. Ben-Moshe has won several clinical awards including Atlanta's "Top Doctor," " Castle Connelly, and Emory Doctor's Day. She has also been honored with multiple education awards including "Emory School of Medicine Educator" award.
