Samir Belagaje MD
Overview
Dr. Belagaje completed his neurology residency at the University of Cincinnati and completed a stroke and neuro-recovery fellowship between 2008-2010. He focuses on stroke rehabilitation and general stroke work. His honors and accomplishments include multiple teaching awards and serving as course director for various national conferences. He has co-authored several book chapters, manuscripts and presented abstracts at multiple conferences and served in a consultation capacity to industry in developing new technology for stroke rehabilitation
Furthermore, with his prior degree in Public Policy, Dr. Belagaje maintains an interest in health policy issues particularly related to stroke, neuro-rehabilitation and neurology in general.

Focus
- I am interested in the mechanisms contributing to recovery following stroke and traumatic brain injury. I am also interested in studying novel methods such as transcranial magnetic stimulation, medications, stem cells, and therapy methods to help improve post-stroke recovery and rehabilitation.
