Randi Connor-Schuler
Overview
Dr. Schuler completed her undergraduate degree in English Literature from the University of California, Davis. She received her medical degree from the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago, Illinois. She then completed residency in emergency medicine at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Following residency, Dr. Schuler completed a fellowship in ultrasound at Henry Ford Hospital before coming to Atlanta to complete her critical care medicine fellowship at Emory University. She then joined the faculty at Emory in 2021 as an assistant professor of medicine. She currently works in the MICU at Emory St. Joseph's Hospital as well as in the MICU, SICU, and ED at Grady Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Schuler's main research interest is in the education and clinical application of point-of-care ultrasound with a main focus on POCUS doppler integration and waveform analysis for routine shock and volume management in the ICU. Current research projects include vascular venous waveform analysis in sepsis and shock and the association with renal outcomes as well as the utilization of POCUS TCD's in identifying vasospasm in the Neuro-ICU.
When she is not working, Dr. Schuler enjoys reading and playing tennis. She actively participates in USTA and ALTA tennis leagues.
