Ranjita Betarbet PhD
Academic Appointment
- Assistant Professor, Neurology, Emory University, Atlanta
Education
Degrees
- PhD from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi
- MS from University of Delhi, New Delhi
Research
Focus
- My research interests are in the pathogenesis and pathology of neurodegenerative diseases. More specifically, the interactions between Parkinsons / Alzheimers disease -related genetic factors and external stressors; including mitochondrial impairment, oxidative stress, protein degradation, and protein trafficking pathways and their role in neurodegeneration.
